Christian Vital graduated from the University of Connecticut after making a bigger name for himself in their basketball program. The Queens native played from 2016 to 2020 and scored a total of 1735 points. Unfortunately the COVID-19 pandemic began right before March Madness and Vital was unable to compete in the tournament during his senior year.

Vital, also known as “Snipa” or “SnipaCV” linked up with Every Child Needs A Champion founder Christopher Teel to speak to neighborhood youth. It was an amazing homecoming celebration where friends, family, and the community showed up. Afterwards, Vital had a long range 3 point shootout with his friends from the neighborhood.

Vital has always been into volunteerism and giving back. As a boarding school student, Vital would come back to Queens during breaks and help Mr. Teel at the school he used to attend. All of Vital’s former teachers are proud. He has even gained new supporters during his time as a volunteer. There will be more things to come. Christian Vital is truly a CHAMPION!
